Dan,
as always, your post was very informative, even for an electrical
ignoramus as me. Which leads me to the following practical
question:
What are the key specs of a good battery charger?
In winter, my B is driven once every two weeks for 20 miles, and
in between the battery seems to go real low so starting can be
troublesome. There is one of those red keys disconneting the
power, which should lessen the drain while parked.
While I'm asking, and to show you I know nothing about
electricals: when jumpstarting from another car, are the poles
connected + to + and - to -? And how do you disconnect a battery
without grounding it? And .... never mind, this should be enough.
Thanks in advance,
Peter
