Number of MG's

Might any of you out there on the list have an idea how many MG's, of any or 
all models, were imported into the US and/or North America?  

Now the tricky part.  Any idea how many still exist?  Registered and or 
otherwise?

Any members of the big registers know how many cars are owned by their members?

Obviously, 'ballpark' numbers will do.
