Sometime ago somebody on this list mentioned that the best way to restore rubber bumpers on a late B was to wet sand them with 400, 600, and 800 grit. Let me tell you it works great! The bumpers on my 77 are black and smooth once again, instead of that hazy gray. And now when I put rubber dressing on them it doesn't soak in right away. "I'm in for two cents." |
