A Cobra question...to settle a bet...Brit car content

Hello,

My friend has a friend who told him that there was NEVER a Cobra built that
didn't have independent rear suspension.  I find this nearly impossible to
believe.  Could someone please give me the details, roughly, on what rear
suspension was in the AC Bristol, AC Cobra, Shelby Cobras, and any other
possible iteration?
