Happy New Year to all on the MG list. I have lurked these past months and
have learned more than I could ever hope from reading a manual and now I
have a problem that maybe someone could help with.
I have tracked down a bad vacuum leak internal to the brake servo on my 79B.
Has anyone disassembled the servo and repaired it using Moss's repair kit
($53.95)? The Haynes manual says: "Dismantling and servicing of servo units
calls for the use of special tools, and it is recommended that specialist
advice should be obtained." I don't want to pay for a kit that I don't have
the tools/ability to use and then have to pay some major dollars for a new
servo ($419.95).
Would appreciate some words of encouragement from those that have been there
and done that.
