Of course we don't have rear foglights. Don't need 'em. We don't have
the killer fog you get in Britain, France, Germany, etc. We also do not
get the 100+ car pileups that used to be (still are?) common when the fog
rolls in on the Autobahn.
Of course the brake light is separate from the turn signal light. Where
did you get that idea? I don't know how you could tell, since most
Americans don't even use the damned turn signal.
As to the McDonald's thing-- Hey, without cradle to grave socialism, the
only financial safety net Americans have are lawsuits and the lottery!
Your settlement figure IS an error, BTW. The elderly woman that won the
lawsuit against McDonald's ended up winning $250,000 before paying the
lawyers (who probably took about a third of it).
