Well, yes and no. I have a Sprint PCS digital cel phone, but I know
this service is not yet available in all areas. Part of the problem is
the size of the country - It is quite a large undertaking to equip a
nation of this size with a new technology from coast to coast. The
major metropolitan areas have it, but many smaller towns and rural areas
are still waiting.
Another problem is that there are currently three different types of
digital service in the US, and none of them are compatible with each
other, so it doesn't really surprise me that your phone doesn't work
here. Mine probably doesn't work over there either.
