There have been several postings about prices for MGs. I posted one
about prices in Germany that prompted several replies. My original
posting was based upon a very limited sample of advertisements that I
had just happened to see. I was not actively tracking prices because I
have absolutely no intention of selling mine. However, the thread got
me curious. On the way home from work yesterday at a newsstand and
bought several papers that contain only car advertisements from private
parties. I went through them and below are all the LBCs I found. My
comments on the condition of the car is based upon what the
advertisement said about the car and then tried to categorize them into
excellent, good, fair, and poor. If there were specific comments, I
included them. I realized that's pretty subjective, but I've been a LBC
owner for quite a while so I bet most of you would think close to the
same thing by just reading the advertisement (and I am sure the
advertisers exaggerate a little). BTW, $1.00 is approximately DM 1.70.
So, here is all the LBCs I found.

MGB '75 DM 3,800 "must be repainted and engine needs rebuild"
(basket case, I bet)

Midget '72 DM 17,500 very good
MGA '62 DM 32,500 "original unrestored condition" (whatever that
means)
MGF '97 DM 35,000 had no description
MGF 97 DM 37,000 had no description
Spitfire '79 DM 6,900 had no description
Spitfire '77 DM 15,000 good-very good, RHD
Spitfire '80 DM 8,000 good
Speedfire (sic) '?? DM 12,500 had no description (no comment)
Spitfire '74 DM 12,000 good
Spitfire '77 DM 4,000 "front end damage and no bonnet" (another basket
case probably)
TR6 '72 DM 18,500 "partially restored"
TR6 '75 DM 20,000 "restored"
TR7 '79 DM 6,900 had no description
GT6 '67 DM 15,000 good-very good
