All,
I am currently rebuilding a 1967 MGB Roadster, the engine and gearbox
have been removed along with the front suspension. I know the
recommended procedure for replacing the front springs is to place a jack
under the spring pan and jack up the car until everything lines up.
However without an engine or box in place this will not work as the car
itself is to light, also the spring compressor I have will not fit as
most of the spring is inside the crossmember.
Any ideas of how to compress the spring without the help of a couple of
Sumo wrestlers?
