To all who responded to the original post-- Thank You! The problem turned out to be floats that were adjusted much too high & thus never stopping the flow of fuel. I will say, however, that while gas/oil in the crankcase makes a lousy lubricant, it does clean things up a bit! I don't recommend it though! Actually had the B up & running down the road today! Hooray! Now I can start on the other 974 things to tinker with on the car . . . Gary 74 MGB |
