Charlie, I removed my column a while back, so my memory isn't precise... but I do remember removing the bolt and nut, and using a very small (1/4" wide) cold chisel to spread the joint just a bit - to release the pressure on the splines. Using a small pry bar the and the shaft should then slide off the joint. Let us know how you make out. Phil Collura '74 MGB |
