Oh Dear..........
I must admit i rather thiught the "spearing" idea seemed a little
dangerous....
but ive never had the problem so....
the only answer is to remove the filter bracket from the block and then
attack the beast on a bench
the bracket is held by one large bolt which is a COW to get at - however
with a long extension socket from beneath you should only get about a
pint
or so of oil all over you!
be careful with the bracket they are expensive!!
