Yep, that would explain it. Firing order is 1-3-4-2 proceeding
counterclockwise around the dizzy cap. Turn the engine to Top Dead
Center, lift the dizzy cap, note the direction the rotor is pointing, put
the wire from that terminal on to #1 plug, and the others 1-3-4-2. You
have a 50-50 chance of catching #1 on the compression stroke. If it
doesn't run, switch 1 with 4, and switch 2 with 3, and it should fire
right up and run nice.
