Thanks to all who responded to my last post, Rick, Vince, Trevor, Michael
and Larrry. The battery was a "24" series. The bonnet or the heater box
did have to come out to remove the battery. Thanks for the info on the Honda
battery. I'm doing some body work and redoing the paint. So, the hood had
to come off anyway and the battery spillage meant the heater box had to come
out also. Regarding the wing vent assembly..................The window
winder mechinism had to be disconnected from the door and window glass.
Haynes could use a updated corrected version of their manual.
Originally this Midget was a bright blue, Someone painted it a deep red,
which is peeling off. Was wondering what were stock colours were for that
year.
Ted Schumacher was kind enough to mention that he had starters available
including a gear reduction starter. I'm wondering what is the function
and/or advantage to a gear reduction starter.
