Well, I started to get stuff ready to go back together, and realized I
have no clue what rings go where on the pistons. It's a 1500 Midget,
and I can't tell from the Haynes manual which slots the specific rings
go in, except the big one...I think the manual called it a scraper ring
or something, which goes in the bottom notch. There are three notches
(i call 'em notches...maybe they are better called grooves) on the
pistons, the 'scraper' goes on the bottom. Then there are two thin
rings and two thick rings for each piston..with only two slots to choose
from. Can anybody tell me the proper configuration? The rings on the
old pistons were all messed up, and then the machine shop threw 'em
away! Thanks!
