I checked three sources, none offered performance figures specific to the
1600, just the 1498 and Twin Cam. If you'd like the 1498 numbers:
0-50 10.5 sec. maximum speed of 98mph.
The Ultimate Classic Car Book (Quentin Wilson) lists 0-60 as 15 sec. top
speed 100mph, again, for the 1498.
The MG Companion has fairly comprehensive capacities, ect. if you'd like
