I have made a somewhat opposite observation. I wore a selfmade shirt
that features a copy of the exploded view of the front suspension straight
out of my Brooklands manual, complete with my (photocopied) greasy
fingerprints, to an MG club event, and nobody even got it. There were
mainly older couples who did not want to talk about cars at all, but would
have probably gladly shown me pictures of their grandkids (ok, my tongue
is easing towards my cheek here).
But come to think about it, this was a driving event, not a car show, a
CB radio was gracing everyone's dash and a good time was probably had by
_them_ all.
My point here is that I (28) have nothing in common with the crowd in my
MG club and this might have something to do with the lack of younger
people in the scene.
In short: not all old farts can be as cool as the ones on this list.
