When I first got the Midget, I would have gladly traded the SUs for
ANYTHING. Three different mechanics could not get them operating right.
I finally bought the Haynes SU carb manual and rebuilt the SUs myself
four years ago (much cheaper than a new Weber). Other than a bad grose
jet (recently), I haven't had any problems.
I'd be interested in knowing if anyone has swapped "good" SUs for a
Weber and noticed a significant improvement in performance(?). But
then, if you had "good" SUs, why would you get rid of them in the first
place?

Don't assume that because you have found one problem, you have found the
ONLY problem.
