noise problem solved also

The noise turned out to be pinking (as a lister replied to me
personally-thanks again!).
I guess it was related to installing longer plugs (ignition was
timed with incorrect length plugs) and perhaps the switch
from premium to mid-grade fuel (i put premium back in).
Then I retarded the ignition and all seems well.  Thanks for
all the help.
