Just saw a weird old (aren't they all) Science fiction movie on Mystery
Science Theater 3000 that featured the main character driving an early MGA on
wire wheels.
I think it was called "Horror at PartyBeach"(1964) and the teenagers were
being abducted by these goofy Fishpeople. The only way to kill them off was
to treat them with sodium. The movie was entirely in Black and White and the
MGA did look a little haggard. But the funny part was the scene where the top
cop gets on the motorola and says something like "Calling all cars, be on the
lookout for (place characters name here), last seen driving a Grey MG". It
was funny to me because the movie was black and white and the MG was gray...
in reality it was probably red.
The guy driving the MG never used the doors unless he was letting his date
out at the dance. He did spend a lot of time in and out of the car looking
for sodium. Don't know the ending 'cuz I fell asleep... sorry
