Graham, Correct, the idle speed is too high. I have set it down to 850rpm (correct for a 76) twice this month and it mysteriously creeps back up to about 1100-1300 rpms. However, it has only dieselled twice this month (daily driven). I have heard to replace the ignition wires (they're pretty old) that they hold a charge if they get hot and old. Has anyone heard of this? Thanks. Tyson |
