I agree. As a newcomer to this list, I am pleasantly surprised to find
how tolerant (most) people are to off-topic subjects. It makes for a lot
of fun, especially for us Frank Zappa fans :-)
On other lists, people use the prefix (off-topic) to warn off the Trevors
of this world - look I've done it here. Maybe this would keep everyone
happy?
Also, I get around the problem of zillions of messages by subscribing to
the Digest - much more civilised and it's quick to scroll through once or
twice a day.
Dunno what my first car tape was, but I really enjoy blasting around in
an MGF with The Grateful Dead playing (yes there are a few Deadheads in
England). Makes up for the EU regulation strangled exhaust note. :-)
