The MGA runs! Thanks to a good friend from the other end of the state I
now have my MGA back. It seems that the plugs were drown with gas and
could not fire. This was compounded by the rebuilt carbs still being
out of adjustment and a leaking gross jet (think it may have been a
piece of FOD/FOP in the jet). Cleared the jet, replaced the plugs,
hooked up the vac line, repaired the damage I inflicted on the poor old
thing, adjusted the carbs and the timing and it idles great. Did not
have a chance to test drive due to a thunderstorm but I feel confident
that it will do just fine. Watching and helping this guy was like
sitting at the feet of the master, he knows his MGs.
