I had a 1965 Datsun fairlady with a 1500cc engine when I got married in "69.I
bought it off a
dealer for $1800 bucks it had a new pontiac metalic green paint and it was the
first sports car I
owned.It had real knock offs with a hammer no less (some kind of conversion)a
fiberglass hardtop
painted to match the car.I thought it was pretty peppy but I hadn't driven a B
.It was alot like
the B the heater didn't work,the wiring harness decided to melt,the Hitachi
carbs were always out of
sync,it never left me stranded except once when the carb cable broke! Isn't it
amazing that they
copied the car AND it,s faults!All in all it was a fun car but I'd much rather
have my B.We went on
our honeymoon to San Francisco in it and finally I got the hots for an Alfa GTV
but couldn't afford
it and bought a new Fiat 124 coupe instead BUT thats another story!
