"D" Type OD

 The interlock arm is the same used on the
non OD 3 synchro gearbox. It
is generally available used from various sources such as British Miles,
John Esposito @ Quantum Mechanics (Conn) and on our mailing list John
Ruse (UK). The OD should be made safe by adding the isolation switch
(BAU 1074) to limit the OD to only 3rd and 4th gear., if not,
accidential use in reverse will destroy the unit. You also should use
the OD relay to pass the high current from the battery to solenoid,
instead of the dash switch. The drive shaft from a 1968 & on non O/D
gearbox should be used, since the "D' type is approx 1,5 inches shorter
when married to a Banjo axle. It gets more complicated if you are
marring the "D" type to a tube axle.
