My experience with changing to K&N's is on a motorcycle, not a LBC, but
I think the two are comparable in this case. The K&N's flowed sooo much
better that the bike was running very lean. After adjusting the mixture
as rich as possible, I eventually had to replace the jets in the carbs
to get a rich enuf mixture. I suspect that you are way too lean.
