A friend of mine (the one with the 750il) warned me about these too.  He said
that they're great if you're racing the car and rebuilding the engine after
every race or two.  For highway driving, he claimed that the stock head
gasket is better.  I guess it has something to do with stopping and starting
and daily driving, but i don't know.  Anyone else know?
