I have a couple more questions about my MGA I hope someone can answer for
me. Someone on the list (sorry, the lovely Netscape product put my old
mail on my pc where I can't get at it from home) recommended
SpeedBleeders. Since I aparently have no friends outside this list, and
I'd really like to drive this damned car before the snow flies, I thought
these might be worth a try. Does anyone know what size I need to get for
a '60 MGA 1600 (discs front, drum rear, clutch)?
Also, I found my rich running problem. The front carb jet doesn't return
to normal after the cluch is turned off. It may stick a little, but I
think it has the wrong return spring on it. The rear carb has a strong
looking spring with maybe 5 windings. The front carb return spring has
maybe 15 winings and is thin, stretches easily, and I believe too long.
Could someone describe their springs to me from their MGA carbs?
Thanks,
Tom, '60 MGA 1600
