I've been off the list for a few months now, so forgive me if I
am simply rehashing ideas already expressed.
If the object is to convince the lawmakers that our lbc's are not
the smog belching gorillas that they are so afraid of, why not enclose a
picture of your car in any correspondance you send in favor of this bill.
At least they will see what cars we are talking about, and then
hopefully notice that they don't see these cars during their daily
commutes.
Also, what is suggested for getting rid of the actual gorillas?
I drive 100 miles a day on LA freeways and I see about 5 a day. One or
two of these cars probably emit more per year than the entire CA
population of lbc's. Call me a cynic, but I don't see how the
bureaucrats in this state could let old cars off the hook while they
pursue the diminishing returns of such ideas as outlawing solvents and
barbeque grills.
