John Steczkowski was going to buy his new seat belts from Moss. Some
time ago I had thought of posting some comparative prices, and one set
was for seat belts. Victoria British has the same belt for only $87.95
plus their outrageous shipping costs. I have used them (getting them
from MG Bits and Spares at a slight discount and reasonable shipping
charges), and they work well. They are universal, and use a pendulum
system to know when you have an accident. They also wont allow you to be
jerked forward in a crash. The pendulum system does have its drawback.
If you park on a steep hill you have to get level before they will
unwind. They can be mounted in any position, and there are two knobs
that have to be adjusted to find vertical. The kit comes with several
adapters and two sets of confusing instructions. I called the company in
England, and the folks were very nice.
I have them on both my GT and my C. It sure is great to be able to shift
position or pick something up off the floor.
