Regardless of whether the carbs.have Grose "jets" or the original
needle-and-seats, the float height needs to be as specified fot the
particular carburetter. The float's job is to set the height of the fuel
in the float bowl to come to the correct level in the jet. All the
needle-and-seat or Grose "jet" ('twould be better named Grose Valve) does
is cut off the fuel flow when the float reaches that prescribed height.
7/16" is correct for MGAs.
