I want to change trunk (boot) lids on my MGB - the original is 'broken' at
the the point where the support bar joins it (a common problem). I have
another 'new' lid that is painted a different colour and has a few paint
blisters caused by the Texas sun. Because i am going to repaint the whole
vehicle in a year or so i do not want to invest a lot of dollars in having
the boot repainted professionally so I intend to do it myself by
repainting it (the boot lid) with an aerosol spray bomb. There is no bare
metal showing. Since I have never messed with auto paint before, what
steps should i follow to prepare the boot and to paint it with a spray
bomb? What materials should i use?
Assume (correctly) that i am a complete neophyte and klutz and walk me
through the process step by step (hopefully this will help others also).
Is there a web site that would help me?
thanks for the help
Preston
