I got the chance to meet Dick Criswell at the Texas MG Register Spring
GoF. He had
picked up the MGB-GT V8 in Pennsylvania, drove to Houston to visit
family, and then attended the meet. I chatted with him several times
during the course of the weekend. He struck me as a very nice
gentleman, enjoying life and his MGs. Some of you from this list may
remember him by his e-mail name, DamitDick. We discussed his upcoming
trip to Alaska in the car, and how I wished that I could be going
along. He said that when he heard about it, he just had to go, as it
would be a once in a lifetime trip. My sympathies to his children,
grandchildren, and friends.
