Actually, there is no such animal as a 741/2 Midget. The "74 1/2"
designation only applied to the advent of the rubber bumpered "B". The
"Mae West" overridders being standard equipment for the entire 1974 model
year run for the Midget (not Spridget, as there was no Sprite by this
time)

Spridgets( Midgets) were produced with round wheel arches in only 3
years. 1972, 1973, and 1974. With the Rubber bumper, 1500 midget, they
reverted to the square arches to pass the US crash tests. The extra metal
on the square arches allowed the body to pass the rear crash sequence.
The round arch body tended to fold at the apex of the arch.
