Well, let's see, there's;

Cleaning whatever type filter you've got in the crankcase breather,
Checking the steering column U-joints,
Checking the alignment of the column,
Remounting the front crossmember, now that you can reach the left bolts,
Replacing any bad tappets or pushrods you might be aware of,
Cleaning out the manifold stud holes,
Making sure the grounding strap does,
Repainting under the brakeline manifold where the weeping stripped the paint,
Oh, heck, as long as you've got to that side and you're checking the
tappets, you might as well pull the cam, and as long as you've got the
radiator off...


OH! You wanted to drive it this summer!?

Seriously, While the manifold's off, clean the chamfer at the downpipe end.
It'll make a better seal. And yes, you do want a new gasket and doughnuts.
Making sure all of the plugs in the intake manifold are sealing is a whole
lot easier now, too. A little teflon plumber's tape never hurts.
