I took the old tank off the '72 Bee and emptied out the gas. I can see a fairly gunky looking surface when I look through the filler hole, although the tank doesn't leak. Here are the options I'm weighing: 1. Clean it out myself and through in some of the POR gas tank sealer. Is the stuff dependable? 2. Buy a new tank. 3. Take it to a Chem-strip rust and paint removal place. It'll cost $85 but the process gets rid of everything. Any thoughts? John Paul Middlesworth |
