Partial Rebuilt of Tranny?

What can I do to rebuilt as much as I can without cracking open the
transmission proper?  Or maybe the backhalf, I think called the 
remote control portion, but nothing to crazy.  I understand
that rebuilding one of these transmissions is only for the 
self abusive.

Front seal, ... what else?
