I've heard that the Weber 45 DCOE is an excellent carb, once you get
it tuned right, but that it's a little much for a daily-driven
street engine. How about the 40 DCOE? Also, how would either of
these carbs do with a 2.0 litre kit on a street-driven engine? Does
the extra displacement make the DCOEs a more suitable choice? I'm
pretty happy with the 32/26 I have now, but it's getting old, and I
don't know how well it would work with the larger engine.
Fortuneately, I'm not going to worry about it until I have to rebuild
the engine, but I'm pretty sure that once I do, I'll have a major
attack of "While-the-engine's-already-out"-itis.
Cheers,
Scott Gardner
