Wind Screen Wipers

This weeks project!

70 Midget, three wipers, are not functioning.  I removed the motor and
it runs fine with no load, and the gears look OK.  I tried to move the
cable by hand and it won't move.  I suspect that there is a serious bind
in the tube. There doesn't seem to be any sharp bends or obvious
external problems with the tube.  Are there any tips to freeing this up
or things to check before I tear the dash out?
