I was a significant part of the previous thread on leaky T-series
fuel-level sending units. I have indeed found the magic substance. It's
a product called "Marine-Tex", a two-part epoxy. Its primary market is
for repairs to boats. They claim that it will cure everything from "a
cracked engine-head to a damaged leaky hull" (their words, not mine).
All I know is that IT IS IMPERVIOUS TO GASOLINE! It stopped the leaks.
I pray that I never have to remove the sending unit again.

You can probably get it most nautical shops, and pay through the nose. I
bought it at a discount store (Benny's in Mass.) for about $7.

It's great not to have to siphon the tank any more.
