I have the $99 set from Special Interest in my 'B. I would rate the
material itself as average to low quality, but for $99, what did you
expect? The kit includes every piece, including the bit for the passenger
footwell map-holder. All the seams are done properly, and the vinyl
trimming is good. I found that the instructional flyer from Victoria
British was *very* helpful in getting it all installed properly. (Just
don't tell VB where you got the carpet...)
The fuzzy padding is included in the proper places, but I added insulating
material to backs of the firewall pieces (I used the metalized bubble-pack
from the hardware store).
The kit comes with all the snaps, which you install to match your car. For
the pieces that need to be glued in, I used the 3M adhesive spray (but it's
a bit expensive, and you'll need at least two cans).
Overall, I rate is as a good deal as long as you don't want it to wear like
Dupont Stainmaster or something. I figure it's going to wear out pretty
quickly, so I'll take it easy on the footwells.
