Linda, Rick et al,
"The Complete Catalog of British Cars" has a couple b&w photos of a Hillman
Hunter and the following specs:
Hunter Mk I & II Hunter GT
Hunter GLS
Introduced 1966 69 & 70 only
1972
displacement 1725 ohv 1725 ohv
1725 ohv
horsepower 74 @ 5000 rpm 88 @ 5200 rpm 93 @ 5200
Carbs 1 Zenith/Stromberg 2 Zenith/Strombergs 2 Webers
0-50 mph 10.0 sec 9.5 sec
7.0
1/4 mile 19.6 sec 19.4 sec
17.3
Max 90 mph 93 mph
102 mph
miles / Imp gallon 26.5 22.6

Text indicates the Hunter was introduced as a complete new design in 1966 to
replace the Minx and Super Minx and was still in production in 1974. MK I &
II available in Saloon and Estate models ( 4 door and station wagon), GT and
GLS models available as Saloons only. Looks VERY much like the Ford Cortina
of the same vintage.
I can scan and forward the photos to anyone who's interested.
