You surprise me John - I live in an area where there are at laest as meny
deer as people, I have tried the whistles with two effects
1) the deer still stand in the road and look at you
2) they drop off (the whistles, not the deer)
I have found that apart from driving very slowly in danger zones esp at
night, and looking as far ahead as one can the old fashioned horn takes a
lot of beating!- if you have time to use it!
BTW A few years back i had a Mercury Grand Marquis, with whistles, A
400lb five-point buck ran in front of it without looking - apparently he
didnt hear the whistles and inflicted $2000 worth of damage - Less than a
Merc GM would have been totalled - an MG might have left me "brown bread"
- and this was at no more than 25mph in traffic.
Sobering indeed!
