OK, I'm going broke on oil...Time to rebuild the bottom end, I think (head was done 3k ago). Compressions are approx. 159psi on 1,2 &4 and, alas, 112 on 3. The engines been using about 1 qt. of oil every 150 miles, with no oil leaks, visible oil fouling of the plugs or blue smoke...engine runs strong. Due to smith odometer :-) I think the engine has about 75k on it. Any suggestions? Mike Snyder '72 BGT (and loving it) |
