Hello, everyone:
No real topic. I'm just dropping a line to show that I am still around.
Due to a couple of posts here and further investigation at my company, I
have decided to change over to the digest. Unfortunately, the digest seems
to have chosen now to act up and I have not gotten any mail since last
Thursday. (Whine, whine)
Last week it got above 10 F so I pulled the rear view mirror off the A and
tightened the stalk. I used Loctite stud lock (good stuff, cool name) to
help stop the scew from backing out. I also bought some oxygen for my toy
torch so that I can cut the frayed end off my starter cable. Oxy-acetylene
(or MAPP, in my case) is THE way to cut control cables. It is fast and
fuses the ends so that they won't fray.
I read with interest the Weber hesitation thread. Hesitation on
acceleration is almost always caused be a lean mixture. I have never
worked on a Weber but I am glad that the problem was chased down. Low
float levels suck- or cause failure to suck, depending on if your looking
for slang or literal translation.
Well hopefully the digest will show up again real soon and I can get back
in the loop- albeit with a time delay.
By the way, if anyone else is getting the digest and has not had an
interuption in service, please E-mail me directly so that I can figure out
what my problem is.
Regards
Bill Eastman
