That's nuthin'. It took me no less than three trips to the local Harris
County Tax Collector and one to the Texas DMV to get my title changed
over from Illinois and my 1962 tags approved. Seems as how it depends on
who you talk to as to whether you need an inspection done on an antique
vehicle. After all these trips, I found out that you only need the
inspection if you are titleing the car from another state, if the state
is Illinois and your last name is Littlefield ;-). Well worth it after
it is all said and done, though. A fraction of the registration fee and
no more inspections (that just went up from $12 to $25 and now include,
<gulp>, smog checks).
