re: mgb electrical & heater question

I just finished up a heater resto/rebuild.  I knew the core (radiator)
was leaking when I saw water on tranny tunnel inside the car, below both
of the floor heater vents.
        BTW:  When you go to put the heater back in, smear a bit of silicone
grease on the (hopefully new) bid ugly rubber gasket sealing the vent,
and on the body where this gasket mates.  It makes the reinsertion
process a LOT less of a bear.
