1.  When I was a child it was the name of a story-book character who 
together with his friend, Big Ears, drove around Toytown in a little 
yellow car with red mudguards.

2.  When I was a juvenile it was a euphemism for a condom.

3.  I'd forgotten about Noddy Bikes!  My understanding of the origin 
of this term was that a Police Officer is always required to salute a 
superior, but it was considered potentially unsafe for a mounted 
officer to have to do this (e.g. removing hand from handlebar in 
midst of rounding corner), so they were allowed to just nod instead.

When we were teenagers a friend of mine had the very one that was 
used in the publicity brochure of the day - as evidenced by the 
registration number.

4.  Now it seems to be a derogatory term for something small and 
insignificant.  Relates to 2, I suppose.
