I have to laugh, because this was my forgotten 'Dan Hughes day' event.
Look to your fuse box. I will bet you one bullet connector that you
have done what I did when my battery died. You removed one or more
fuses. Then you replaced the fuses. But you put the fuse between the
clips. WRONG!!!!!!!! The fuses go between the wire attachment blocks
and the clips, NOT between the four clips. Go look, you'll see what I
mean. You have effectively shorted your ignition-controlled circuit to
you non-controlled circuit.
If you ever have to hot-wire your car... this is the way to do it!
