I need the wisdom of the list .
Being a "newby" to the list (4 months) I must start by saying that I find
the list very informative and entertaining at times. My history with lbc's
goes back to my first year of Collage . Having secured my student loan , I
immediatly proceeded to go and buy a car. As luck would have it a 1965 MGB
Roadster caught my eye at a local car lot. It was British Racing Green ,
wire wheels and had overdrive. I bought it and spent 3 years driving ,
racing , fixing , and all round enjoying the car. I met my wife at this
time and we spent many a good time in this car. Fast forward to 1993 an
suffering from mid life crisis I bought a 77 MGB Roadster . By 1996 we now
own a 1964 MGB Roadster , 1969 MGBGT along with the 77. As I live in Canada
driving is restricted to the summer months.
Now for the question . Due to the daily reading of the list and the
availibility of such great wisdom I plan to start the restoration of the GT
this weekend . The car needs a new windshield and may need new fenders (lots
of bodyfill ) . I also plan to do the sills etc. My question is , Are new
windshields and fenders readily available and if so where from ? As I am in
Canada (Barrie ,, 60 miles north of Toronto,,) what are the difficulties of
shipping such items from the U.S. ?
